Ruggles Hill Creamery

Farm
Nationally Award Winning Farmstead Goat Cheese
American Oberhasli and Saanen Goats.
We’re located right in the middle of Massachusetts, just east of the Quabbin Reservoir.

The first portion of our house was built in 1760 on a hill now known as Ruggles Hill by the Ruggles family who settled several farms in Hardwick. A remarkable 1200 foot long wall, built in 1827 and now known as the “Brothers’ Walk”, links our property then the home of Franklin Ruggles to the property of his brother Anson: cantilevered stone steps let family mount the 3′-wide wall and pass high and dry along huge topping plates of cap stone.

The farm is 38 acres — approximately 10 acres in hay on prime agricultural soils, another 5 acres of pasture, the remainder in woodlands.

Founding date:
2005, formerly Carlisle Farmstead Cheese.
Products:
Massachusetts made, nationally awarded farmstead goat cheeses. American Oberhasli and Saanen goats.
